EBSU Post UTME 2025/2026 Screening: Application Process

Ebonyi State University (EBSU), Abakaliki, has officially announced the commencement of its Post-UTME and Direct Entry screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. Eligibility Criteria for EBSU Post UTME 2025/2026

  • Candidates who selected Ebonyi State University as their first choice in the 2025/2026 Unified Tertiary and Matriculation Examination (UTME).
  • Candidates who did not initially select EBSU but are willing to change their institution to EBSU.
  • Candidates who scored 150 and above in the 2025/2026 UTME.

  1. Awaiting Results:
    Candidates awaiting results from NABTEB, WAEC (May/June 2025), and NECO (June/July 2025) are eligible to apply.
  2. Consistency of Names:
    Any inconsistency in names across O’Level certificates, UTME results, and registration documents is unacceptable and may lead to disqualification.
  3. No Physical Screening:
    Candidates are not required to appear physically for screening. The exercise will be conducted online.
  4. Admission Notification:
    Admission status will be communicated via the EBSU portal.
  5. O’Level Upload Requirement:
    Candidates must upload their O’Level results on both:
    • The EBSU portal
    • The JAMB portal
    Failure to upload results may prevent recommendation for admission.
  6. Acceptance of Admission:
    Candidates offered admission must accept the offer within four (4) weeks, otherwise the admission will be withdrawn.
  7. Pre-Degree Admission:
    Admission through the Pre-degree programme will be based on the average of the candidate’s JAMB score and Pre-degree score.

Direct Entry (DE) Candidates Screening

All Direct Entry candidates who selected EBSU must also undergo online screening. They are required to:

  • Access the university portal for screening information.
  • Request their previous institutions to verify their “A” Level certificates on the JAMB portal.
  • Ensure verification is completed to enable EBSU recommend them to JAMB for admission.

Mode of Payment and Registration Procedure (Simple Steps)

Eligible candidates should follow these steps carefully:

Log in to the official EBSU Post UTME portal.

Step 2: Navigate to Online Application

Scroll to the Quick Menu and click on Online Application Forms.

Step 3: Select Application Type

Choose:

  • Application Form for POST UTME, or
  • Application Form for Direct Entry Candidates

Step 4: Enter JAMB Registration Number

Input your JAMB Registration Number in the correct format.

Step 5: Generate Payment Invoice

Click on LOGIN to generate your payment invoice.

Step 6: Make Payment

  • Proceed to any bank to pay ₦2,000, or
  • Pay online using your debit card.

Step 7: Complete the Application Form
