UMYU Post-UTME Registration 2024/2025: See Details.

Umar Musa Yar’adua University has announced the commencement of registration for the 2024/2025 Post-UTME screening exercise. Eligible candidates are invited to register online from Wednesday, 20th August 2024, to midnight of 13th September 2024.

History of Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU)

Umaru Musa Yar’adua University (UMYU) was founded in 2006 by the Katsina State Government as the Katsina State University. The university was established with the aim of fostering the socioeconomic and political development of the state by providing high-caliber human resources and research outputs. It was envisioned to offer both traditional classroom-based education and distance learning programs from its inception.

Over the past two decades, UMYU has grown and expanded significantly. The university currently offers 51 undergraduate programs and 52 graduate programs across eight faculties:

  1. Natural & Applied Sciences
  2. Humanities
  3. Education
  4. Social Sciences
  5. Management Sciences
  6. Law
  7. Agriculture
  8. Earth & Environmental Science

Additionally, UMYU has two colleges:

  • College of Postgraduate Studies
  • College of Health Sciences

As of the end of the 2023 academic year, the university had approximately 13,000 students enrolled, including both full-time and part-time undergraduate and graduate students.

Steps for Registration

To register for the Post-UTME screening exercise, candidates should follow these steps:

  1. Visit the University’s Post-UTME registration portal https://umyu.edu.ng/about-us/
  2. Upload the required documents, including:
    • JAMB Result Slip (for UTME candidates) or JAMB Registration Slip (for DE candidates)
    • O’ Level Result(s)
    • Form of identification (Indigene Letter/National Identification Card/International Passport etc)
    • Direct Entry (DE) Candidates are to also upload their ‘A’ Level Result (Diploma, IJMB, NCE etc)
  3. Pay the sum of N2,000.00 (all charges inclusive) for the aptitude test/screening through the payment options provided on the University’s website

Screening Details

The Post-UTME Test is scheduled to hold on:

  • Friday, 27th September 2024
  • Saturday, 28th September 2024

Candidates are advised to check the University’s website for the specific screening schedule and venue.

Important Notes

  • Candidates who are awaiting results can also apply.
  • The University will not entertain any complaints or appeals regarding the screening exercise after the closing date.
