IBBU Lapai Post-UTME 2025/2026: Eligibility, Application Process

The Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBU Lapai) has officially announced the Post-UTME screening exercise for the 2025/2026 academic session. Candidates who selected the university as their first choice institution in the 2025 UTME are invited to participate in the mandatory online screening exercise.

IBBU Lapai Post-UTME 2025/2026 Screening Date

The online screening exercise will run for approximately three weeks:

  • Start Date: Wednesday, 10 September 2025
  • Closing Date: Sunday, 28 September 2025

Candidates are required to complete their screening through the official website of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai.

Any candidate who fails to complete the online screening within the specified period will not be considered for admission.


Eligibility for IBBU Lapai Post-UTME 2025/2026

IBBU Lapai Post-UTME Screening Process

The online screening exercise consists of three major stages.


Stage 1: Candidate Eligibility Check

Applicants must first verify their eligibility by:

  1. Entering their JAMB Registration Number on the screening portal.
  2. Providing a valid mobile phone number.
  3. Uploading O’Level results from any of the following examination bodies:
  • West African Examinations Council (WAEC)
  • National Examinations Council (NECO)
  • National Business and Technical Examinations Board (NABTEB)
  • National Board for Arabic and Islamic Studies (NBAIS)

Applicants can submit a maximum of two O’Level sittings.

Candidates will then generate a transaction ID or invoice for payment.


Stage 2: Payment of Screening Fee

The screening exercise costs ₦2,000 only.

Candidates can make payment using either of the following methods:

Branch Collect

  • Print the transaction invoice
  • Take it to any designated bank listed on the portal
  • Complete payment using the generated transaction ID

WebPAY

  • Select the WebPAY option
  • Make payment online using the available electronic payment methods

Stage 3: Result Submission

After payment confirmation:

  • Candidates will receive an SMS notification confirming payment.
  • They will use the login details provided in the SMS to access the portal.
  • Applicants must carefully input their O’Level results and other required details.
