Lagos State University (LASU), Ojo, has announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) online admission screening exercise. The screening is conducted entirely online, without any physical examination, and candidates are assessed using a point-based grading system derived from UTME scores and O’Level results. Only candidates who meet the stated eligibility requirements and complete the screening within the approved timeline will be considered for admission.
Eligibility for LASU Post-UTME and Direct Entry Screening
UTME Candidates
Candidates are eligible to participate in the LASU online screening if they:
- Chose Lagos State University as their First Choice in the 2025 UTME.
- Scored a minimum of 195 in the 2025 UTME.
- Are at least 16 years old by 1st October 2025.
Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) Candidates
- All LASU Pre-Degree Studies (PDS) students who successfully completed the programme.
- Must have chosen LASU as first choice and scored 195 or above in UTME.
Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- Must have obtained the Direct Entry form from JAMB and selected LASU as first choice.
- Only LASU Diploma is acceptable for Direct Entry admission, except NCE holders applying to the Faculty of Education.
- LASU Foundation (JUPEB) candidates are eligible.
Lagos State Indigenes
- Candidates of Lagos State origin who have been verified by the Independent Indigeneship Verification Committee (IIVC) will have their status automatically validated during screening.
Method of Application for LASU Post-UTME 2025/2026
Step A: Online Payment Registration
- Visit www.lasu.edu.ng
- Click Student → New Applicants
- Select UTME/DE Screening
- Log in using UTME Registration Number and Surname
- Click Make Payment (Admission Screening)
- On the payment page:
- Enter JAMB Registration Number
- Select Admission Screening Fee
- Choose Ojo Campus
- Select Student category
- Complete payment and return to the dashboard
Online Self-Screening Procedure
After payment, candidates must:
- Log in with UTME Registration Number and Surname
- Supply Transaction ID
- Carefully enter personal and academic details
- Select preferred course of study
- Enter UTME subjects and grades
- Input O’Level results (maximum of two sittings, except Medicine and Dentistry which require one sitting)
- Upload O’Level results on JAMB CAPS before screening closes
Important Academic Requirements
- Five (5) relevant O’Level credits required for all courses
- Engineering candidates using two sittings must have six (6) credits, including Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, and English
- Further Mathematics is compulsory for Aeronautic and Astronautic Engineering
- Credit in English Language is compulsory for all courses
- Results obtained after July 2025 are not acceptable
Screening Grading System
- LASU uses a point-based grading system
- Assessment is based on:
- UTME score
- SSCE grades in five best relevant subjects
- Subject requirements are based on the 2025 JAMB Brochure
The screening and registration period runs for 27 days, from Monday 30th June to Saturday 26th July, 2025 (12 midnight).
Printing Screening Report
After successful submission:
- Log in to the screening portal
- Enter UTME Registration Number
- Click Download Result to generate and print your screening report
