YSU Post UTME 2024: Registration Guidelines, Cut-Off Mark, and Screening Dates

YSU Post UTME 2024: Yobe State University (YSU) has announced its Post UTME screening exercise for the 2024/2025 academic session. This article provides guidelines on registration, eligibility, cut-off mark, and screening dates.

Eligibility Criteria

General Requirements:
1. First Choice University: Applicants must have applied for admission and chosen Yobe State University as their first choice during the 2024 UTME registration.
2. O’Level Qualifications: Applicants must have at least five (5) credit passes in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or its equivalent, including Mathematics and English, in not more than two sittings.
3. Valid Account: Applicants must possess a valid account to commence the application process.
UTME Candidates:
1. Minimum UTME Score: Must have scored at least 140 and above in the 2024/2025 UTME.
2. Departmental Cut-off Mark: Applicants must have met the preferred departmental cut-off mark.
3. Changing Course Choice: Candidates who did not meet the required cut-off marks for their first-choice programs but have suitable scores for other related programs should go to the JAMB portal to change their course choice.
Direct Entry Candidates:
1. A’Level Qualifications: Must have relevant A’ level qualifications or higher in their preferred course of study.
2. O’Level Requirements: Must have at least five (5) credit passes at O’level in WAEC, NECO, GCE, or its equivalent, including Mathematics and English, in not more than one sitting.
Additional Requirements:
1. Result Upload: Candidates with pending A’ level or O’level results that were not uploaded during their UTME or Direct Entry registration must upload these results to the JAMB admission portal to be considered for admission.
2. JAMB CAPS Submission: Candidates must upload their O’level and A’ level results on the JAMB CAPS before the scheduled screening date.
