The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) invites applications for Post UTME screening for the 2025/2026 academic session.

UNDERGRADUATE ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

The National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) welcomes applicants from diverse educational backgrounds. Its admission process is designed to be inclusive while maintaining high academic standards.
Outlined below are the general requirements for prospective undergraduate candidates.

1. EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

Applicants must possess any of the following qualifications:

• Senior Secondary School Certificate (SSCE) or its equivalent
  Candidates must obtain a minimum of five (5) credit passes in relevant subjects, including English Language and Mathematics, obtained in not more than two (2) sittings in WAEC or NECO examinations.
• GCE O’Level or NABTEB
  Results from the General Certificate of Education (O’Level), NECO, or National Business and Technical Education Board (NABTEB) are acceptable, provided they meet the specific subject requirements for the chosen programme.

2. AGE REQUIREMENT

• Applicants must be at least 16 years old at the time of application.

3. JAMB REGISTRATION

• Prospective candidates are required to register with JAMB and select the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN) as their institution of choice.
• Admission is subject to meeting the approved JAMB cut-off mark for the chosen programme.
• Candidates are advised to visit the NOUN official portal for detailed information on cut-off marks and programme-specific requirements.

PROCEDURE FOR APPLYING FOR ADMISSION AT NOUN

Follow the steps below carefully to apply for admission into the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN):

A. APPLICATION INITIATION

1. Visit the NOUN admission portal:
   👉 www.nouonline.nou.edu.ng
2. On the homepage, navigate to the Menu Bar and click on “Apply for Admission.”
3. Select your preferred programme:
   • Undergraduate Programme, or
   • Postgraduate Programme
     (Note: Other programmes are currently not available.)

B. PROGRAMME SELECTION

4. Click on “Choose Faculty” (located on the left-hand side of the screen).
5. Select your Faculty.
6. Complete the form displayed on the screen.
7. Click “View Admission Criteria” to confirm eligibility.
8. Click “Apply” to proceed.

C. PAYMENT PROCESS

9. Take note of the UNIQUE ID generated on the screen.
10. Click the “Continue” button.
11. Select Bank Branch as your payment option.
12. Click “Pay” to generate an RRR number.
13. Copy the RRR number and proceed to any bank branch nationwide to make payment.

D. COMPLETING THE APPLICATION (AFTER PAYMENT)

14. Repeat Steps 1–3 above.
15. Click on “Continue After Payment.”
16. Enter your:
    • Unique ID
    • RRR number
    • Programme
17. Click “Proceed.”
18. Complete the application form carefully.
    Note: All fields marked with a red asterisk () are compulsory.*

E. SUBMISSION & SCREENING

19. Click “Submit” after completing the form.
20. Print your Admission Letter.
21. Visit the nearest NOUN Study Centre for physical screening.
