Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka invites applications for Post UTME and Direct Entry screening for the 2025/2026 academic session.
Eligibility Criteria for Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka
- UTME Applicants
- Must have chosen Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka or its affiliate institutions as their first choice in the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UME).
- Must have obtained the required pass marks for their chosen programme.
- Direct Entry (DE) Applicants
- Must hold OND, HND, First Degree, or A’Level qualifications.
- Qualifications must be in relevant disciplines and subjects.
- Applicants Who Did Not Choose NAU as First Choice
- Must have obtained the eligible pass marks for their chosen faculty/programme.
- Must visit a JAMB CBT Centre to change their institution to NAU before applying.
Registration Procedure for UNIZIK 2025/2026 Post-UTME & Direct Entry
. Registration Dates
- Start: Monday, 28th July 2025
- End: Saturday, 16th August 2025
- Change of course or institution: Ends Saturday, 9th August 2025 (any changes after this date will not be valid)
- Compulsory upload of O’Level results (and A’Level for DE candidates) on JAMB CAPS: Ends Saturday, 16th August 2025
2. How to Register Online
- Visit apply.unizik.edu.ng
- Create a UNIZIK application account:
- Validate your JAMB registration number, provide your LGA and UTME subject combination, then click Submit change.
- Provide your email address, phone number, date of birth, password and click Update Profile.
- Validate your account with the code sent to your email, then click Verify and Proceed to Sign In.
- Log in using your JAMB number/email and password.
- On the Dashboard:
- Click O’Level to add your results
- Click Buy Form to pay ₦2,000 (online via debit card or print account details for bank payment)
- After payment, return to the portal and click Submit Form
- You will receive an email acknowledging receipt of your application
Note: You can edit your O’Level results while registration is ongoing; after 16th August 2025, results will be locked for editing.
3. UTME Subject Correction
- Candidates not eligible due to wrong UTME subject combination should:
- Choose from the list of suggested courses on their eligibility status.
- Visit JAMB CBT centres to change their course before successful registration.
4. Additional Requirements for Direct Entry (DE) Candidates
- In addition to steps above:
- Ensure transcripts are forwarded to the Registrar, NAU, Awka
- Submit hard copies of:
- JAMB E-slip
- O’Level results
- OND/HND/First Degree or A’Level results
to the Office of Deputy Registrar (Admissions) on or before Saturday, 16th August 2025
Note: Any candidate whose transcript is not received by the deadline will not be considered for admission.
5. Screening Exercise
- Monitor your phone number, email, and UNIZIK website for updates on the Post-UTME/DE screening exercise.
- Only candidates who registered online will be eligible for the screening.
- Upload of O’Level/A’Level results on JAMB CAPS is compulsory for admission consideration.
6. Caution
- Admissions are not for sale. Report any demand for unauthorized payments or bribes.
- The University is not liable for:
- Fraudulent payments outside official channels
- Payments made with wrong JAMB registration numbers
