FUTIA Post-UTME 2025/2026: Eligibility, and How to Apply

The Federal University of Technology, Ikot Abasi (FUTIA), Akwa Ibom State has officially announced the commencement of its 2025/2026 Post-UTME and Direct Entry (DE) admissions screening exercise. All suitably qualified candidates who participated in the 2025 UTME and are seeking admission into FUTIA are invited to apply, provided they meet the stated requirements.

Eligibility Requirements for FUTIA Post-UTME 2025/2026

To be eligible for the FUTIA Post-UTME screening exercise, candidates must meet the following conditions:

  • Must have scored a minimum of 160 in the 2025 UTME
  • Must have selected FUTIA as First Choice in JAMB
    • Candidates who did not choose FUTIA initially may still apply after changing their first choice to FUTIA on JAMB CAPS
  • Must possess at least five (5) relevant O’Level credits, including English Language and Mathematics
  • O’Level results must be obtained in not more than two sittings

Registration Date

  • Online registration begins: Monday, 21st July 2025

Applicants are advised to register early to avoid last-minute issues.


FUTIA Post-UTME Registration Procedure

Follow the steps below to successfully apply:

  1. Visit the FUTIA application portal:
    http://portal.futia.edu.ng
    Click on “Click here to apply”
  2. Click the Undergraduate link at the top menu bar
  3. Enter your JAMB Registration Number and click “Get details”
  4. Complete the basic information page
    • Ensure you provide a valid phone number and email address
  5. Review your details and click “Make Payment”
  6. Enter your ATM card details (Mastercard, Visa, or Verve)
  7. Input the OTP code sent to your phone to complete payment
  8. After successful payment:
    • Click “Main Login”
    • Log in using your JAMB Registration Number
    • Use your Surname as password
  9. Complete the registration form
  10. Print your completed registration form and payment receipt

Important Notes for Applicants

  • A four (4) week grace period will be given for candidates to accept approved admissions
  • Candidates with awaiting O’Level results may apply but must ensure their results are uploaded on JAMB CAPS at a JAMB-approved CBT centre
  • FUTIA does not operate through agents
    • Any payment made to individuals is done at the applicant’s own risk
