The Obafemi Awolowo University Teaching Hospitals Complex (OAUTHC), Ile-Ife, has officially announced the commencement of admission into its College of Nursing Sciences for the 2026/2027 academic session.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for admission into the following programmes:
- National Diploma/Higher National Diploma (ND/HND) in Nursing
- Post Basic Perioperative Nursing

UTME Requirements
To qualify for admission, applicants must:
- Sit for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
- Obtain a minimum UTME score of 180.
- Choose OAUTHC College of Nursing Sciences, Ife Hospital Unit, Ile-Ife or Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa as their first-choice institution.
- Register the following UTME subject combination:
- English Language
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
Note: Successful candidates may be posted to either the Ife Hospital Unit or the Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa Campus.
Post-UTME Screening Exercise
Candidates who scored 180 and above in the 2026 UTME are eligible for the OAUTHC Post-UTME Screening Exercise.
Applicants who did not initially choose OAUTHC may still apply after changing their institution to either:
- OAUTHC College of Nursing Sciences, Ife Hospital Unit
- Wesley Guild Hospital, Ilesa
Applicants must also ensure that their O’Level results have been uploaded on the JAMB CAPS Portal.

2. Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Programme
OAUTHC is also inviting applications into its Post Basic Perioperative Nursing Programme for the 2026/2027 academic session.
The programme runs for 12 calendar months and is scheduled to commence in November 2026.
Admission Requirements
Applicants must possess:
- WAEC, NECO or NABTEB with five credits in:
- English Language
- Mathematics
- Biology
- Chemistry
- Physics
In addition, applicants must:
- Be a Registered Nurse (RN).
- Be registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Council of Nigeria (NMCN).
Candidates presenting NABTEB cannot combine it with another examination result.
