NDA Kaduna Post UTME 2025/2026: Apply Now!

The general public is hereby informed that online applications for admission into the 78th Regular Course of the Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA), Kaduna, will be open from Friday, 28 November 2025 to 30 April 2026. Admission into the NDA is open to both male and female Nigerian citizens. Interested candidates are to visit the application portal at www.ndaapplications.net , select “Purchase Access Code”, and complete the required details to make payment via REMITA in the sum of Seven Thousand Naira (₦7,000.00) only.

METHOD OF APPLICATION

  1. Interested candidates are advised to complete the online application on the website stated https://nda.edu.ng/ Applicants should download and carefully read the instructions provided on the portal. Candidates seeking admission into the NDA must also apply through the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) and select the Nigerian Defence Academy as their first-choice institution. Such candidates are expected to sit for the JAMB Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).

SUBMISSION OF APPLICATIONS

  1. Application forms must be submitted online, along with scanned copies of SSCE, NECO, or equivalent results.
    Upon successful submission, candidates are required to download and print the Acknowledgement Form.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

  1. The specific requirements for the various undergraduate degree programmes are available on the NDA website and application portal. Additional information regarding degree courses, eligibility, and screening test centres can also be found on the portal.
    • Knowledge of French or Arabic will be an added advantage.
    • SSCE, NECO, or equivalent results must not be more than five (5) years old at the time of admission.

SCREENING TEST CONDITIONS

  1. Only candidates who meet the admission requirements and attain a minimum UTME score of 210 for Engineering courses and 180 for other faculties will be eligible to print the Screening Test Admission Card and participate in the NDA Screening Test at their chosen centres.

SCREENING TEST DATE AND REQUIREMENTS

  1. The NDA Screening Test, which serves as Phase One of the Post-UTME screening, is scheduled to hold on Saturday, 6 June 2026. Eligible candidates are to report to their screening centres with the following:
    • Acknowledgement Form
    • Screening Test Admission Card
    • JAMB Result Slip
    • Two (2) postcard-sized photographs (3.5 x 5 inches)
    The photographs must show the candidate from the chest upwards and must have the following details written at the back:
    • Candidate’s Name
    • Examination Number
    • State of Origin
    • Examination Centre
    • Course of Study
    • Candidate’s Signature
    Only candidates successful in the Screening Test will be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board (Phase Two), after which the list of admitted candidates will be published.

NATURE AND DURATION OF TRAINING

  1. Candidates admitted into the NDA Regular Course will undergo military and academic training as officer cadets for a period of five (5) years. Upon successful completion, graduates will be awarded:
    • An Honours Degree in a core discipline (BSc, BEng, or BA), and
    • A Presidential Commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

ADMINISTRATION

  1. All Regular Course cadets will undergo training at the NDA. The Federal Government of Nigeria will bear the cost of their administration and logistics.

REFERENCE MATERIALS

  1. The Academy provides a Compendium of Past Questions and Answers at a token fee. Interested candidates may purchase this from the NDA Registry.
